General Surgery
The General Surgery Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center specializes
in inpatient and outpatient general surgical care, particularly for those suffering from a
spinal cord injury or congenital disability. Having treated patients with persistent and
long-lasting injuries for decades, we have gained expertise and a deep understanding in caring for
patients pre- and peri- operatively.
We serve patients that are referred from other institutions in our general surgery clinics,
where patients have an opportunity to discuss their needs, treatment options, and schedule elective
surgeries. We use the minimally invasive, laparoscopic approach in many of our surgical
procedures. The general surgery program welcomes patient referrals for consultation and treatment.
