Wellness Center
Maintaining good health habits is essential in preventing illness and injury and
loss of time doing the things that are important to you. At Rancho, we are committed to promoting
good health and wellness through education, an accessible workout and training facility,
professionals in medical, physical and cognitive rehabilitation, and nutrition experts.
Our health and wellness program offers a wide variety of classes for
stress reduction, relaxation, physical activity, improved energy, healthy eating and
overall healthy balance of Mind, Body and Spirit. All fitness levels are
welcome. This program serves individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities.
Life Gym
Our new state-of-the-art fitness center was designed
with accessibility in mind. We have exercise equipment appropriate for all fitness
levels and experienced gym personnel available to answer questions and provide
instruction on equipment use.
Member Registration
Join Rancho Wellness for $10 per month! Membership includes UNLIMITED
access to the Life Gym and Wellness classes.

and manage your personal information using our online system.

Walk-in registration and inquiries are always welcome -
Stop by the Wellness Resource Room located in the 900 building, room 4 or call or e-mail using
the contact information below. Please complete the attached Well-Fit Registration form. Forms
may be submitted by fax at (562) 401-6167 or submitted to the class instructor prior to your

Refer a friend - Do you know someone that would like to
participate in Wellness classes or might be interested in learning more about the program?

Know your fitness level - Schedule a WellFit fitness
assessment to develop a wellness program tailored to your fitness level. A WellFit fitness
assessment is encouraged for all members.

For Rancho patient, humor health the soul -
"In 2009, Jay became the first Rancho patient to be appointed Director
of Rancho’s Performing Arts program. Under his leadership, the program has
been enhanced to year-round status, and has been expanded to local schools
and elderly care facilities. Past Rancho patients are now able to entertain
throughout Rancho at annual events and inpatient classes, as well as twice
a year at the Performing Arts of Rancho show."
So you think you can't dance? - "Some of the
participants in their program have physical or cognitive
difficulties as a result of spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury,
stroke, neurological illness, or amputations, and others may be experienced
and trained dancers. Regardless of ability, all of these factors disappear
once they reach the dance floor."
